community software
our community software allows the sharing of publications, forums, calendars and messages between groups of people. these facilites can be integrated into your website in any configuration.membership and security
our membership system is based around users and groups. each user on the system has a common login that can be used to access any website hosted by us. access to individual sites and resources such as publications is controlled by the groups to which a user belongs.in turn, groups have their own individual publications, forums and calendars. these can be kept private or shared between other groups.
publishing and content management
you can find out much more about our publishing system under content management.within the community software structure publications are normally only visible to a single group. this can be easily changed to allow other chosen groups access, or to make them completely visible for display on a public web site.
discussion forums
forums allow group members to share ideas. unlike some web forum systems, our discussions are fully threaded. this means that it is simple to keep track of which forum posts belong to a particular thread of conversation.forum management facilities include the ability to archive threads, removing them from display but still allowing them to be referenced and a thread mover, allowing conversations to be transferred between forums.
web-based e-mail
every member gets access to our web-based e-mail system. this allows users to easily e-mail other members on the system, as well as any internet e-mail address.web mail accounts can be set up on any domain, are capable of sending and receiving attachments and can be forwarded on to another address.
